Robert Macdonald has divided his life between journalism and painting, He studied painting and printmaking at the Central School of Art in London. During the 1960s he worked in Fleet Street as Commonwealth Correspondent. In 1976 he gave up this work to do a postgraduate study in painting at the Royal College of Art. Since then he has worked in art schools and has continued to paint and to write. Robert Macdonald lives near Brecon in Wales. For this collection, we are showing Robert?s vivacious watercolours centred around rural life in Wales, as well as some work from time spent in and around Hastings.
