Daphne has been living and working in Wales since 1962 first in Pembrokeshire and then in Monmouthshire. Her watercolours are concerned with the atmosphere of a place and time. They are of remote and isolated buildings and structures. Sometimes these buildings are derelict and becoming reclaimed by the land or water. They are places shaped by their history and use. Farms, tracks, walls, lost houses, lighthouses, huts and beach huts, boats, tents, observatories and radio telescopes are all continuing interests.
